Dear IAB Community,
IAB US and the MRC (Media Ratings Council) have just released draft Attention Measurement Guidelines that are open for comment until 12th July. The document represents a comprehensive set of guidelines for measuring attention across various media channels and environments. The guidelines aim to encompass all known approaches to attention measurement, including data signal-based tracking, visual tracking, physiological and neurological observations, as well as panel and survey-based methodologies. Locally our Ad Effectiveness Council will be reviewing the work and I am sure we will have a number of MeasureUp Call for Content pitches on this topic.
In the latest IAB Australia podcast we chat with Bronwyn Hooton from Industry Super Australia and Carolyn Reid from Kantar, discussing the balance Australians face between financial realities and desired living standards and delve into how understanding behavioural patterns and changes can help brands.
The IAB Australia Video Summit is a power packed two hours providing the latest research, standards, creative examples and updates from a range of key players from buy and sell side. We have speakers from Tubi, Monks, Nine, Optus, Beiersdorf, Zenith, PHD, Domain and more to be announced. Free tickets for agencies and marketers as well as two free tickets for each member organisation.
For the last few years, we have had small events to launch our annual Commerce report that we produce with Pureprofile looking at the latest consumer trends in relation to online and offline purchasing. This year we are expanding these events and getting our Retail Media Council involved. We will be launching the next wave of the Retail Media State of the Nation research along with discussions on key retail media trends. Registrations are now open for the new Commerce and Retail Media Summit in Sydney and Melbourne now.
More resources and range of wonderful job openings.
'Til next week Gai
