Dear IAB Community,
I hope you managed a decent break and are ready for 2026 and all the opportunities and challenges it will bring. The IAB team and board are here to support, represent and showcase the industry as we head into the year and towards our 21st birthday.
With many people only returning to work next week, we've extended applications for our Mentorship Program until COB Tuesday 27 January. If you have under 10 years' industry experience and would value guidance from a senior industry leader, now's the time to apply.
You may also have missed a flurry of technical updates from IAB Tech Lab over the past month. These include the Agentic AI Standards Roadmap, Event & Conversation API, Deals API and the CTV Ad Portfolio. We've published a summary, with deeper dives to follow in coming weeks.
On 10 February, IAB members are invited to join a practical Advertising Regulation & Compliance 101 webinar. Led by Sarah Kruger, Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs, this one-hour session will provide a clear overview of how advertising rules work in Australia, how responsibilities are shared across the ecosystem, and where regulatory focus is heading.
Today we also announced a new Community Access Pass, offering free event tickets to those in the industry who are between roles or recently made redundant. A limited number of passes will be available per event, with registrations via the IAB Australia website.
Most events for the year are now open for registration, starting with our Audio Summits in early March, covering new State of the Nation research, programmatic audio buying, podcasting trends, fresh case studies, and revenue and investment insights.
Alongside our 12 annual IAB events, members also receive generous discounts to partner events including the UNSW Marketing Analytics Symposium, Future of TV, Cairns Crocodiles and Mumbrella360.
More resources and job opportunities are below.
'Til next week,
Gai
