Programmatic OOH | March Quarter Revenue | AI Usage in Advertising |Travel Trends | New Members | Jobs

Dear IAB Community,


There is always high demand for killer case studies for emerging investment areas, that is why we grabbed the opportunity to discuss a recent programmatic OOH campaign for Extra Gum which recently won the JCDecaux Programmatic Campaign of the Year Award on the IAB Australia podcast. If you work in a digital role in an agency and want to get your head around programmatic OOH, the IAB is supporting some site tours from JCDecaux specifically designed for account managers or above. More details below.


Data collection is now underway for the March quarter Internet Advertising Revenue Report, which will be released in mid-May. If you're a media owner who hasn't yet provided data for this essential industry market-sizing report, please get in touch. IAB Australia members have access to digital advertising revenue data and reports going back to 2006.


The recently released IAB US State of Data 2025 report with analysis of the use of AI in various components of the advertising ecosystem is a highly recommended read. Lorraine Donnelly, a member of the IAB Data Council and head of data AUSEA for Yahoo, discusses some of the pros and cons of the way the industry is embracing AI in B&T.


Ipsos has also just released a new travel report, based on data from Ipsos iris, which offers a detailed look at the behaviours, trends, and profiles of Australians using digital travel sites and apps. Key takeaways include increased travel activity among GenZ and GenX, growth in DIY and home-share accommodation driven by cost-of-living pressures, and a shift in travellers' brand preferences when it comes to international airlines.
