Dear IAB Community, The IAB Ad Effectiveness Council has today released a research synthesis, "Elevating brands through multi-channel excellence". The paper provides evidence for marketers of why multi-channel advertising campaigns are more effective at delivering business outcomes and offers guidance for creating and measuring successful multi-channel campaigns. An important resource as budgets are squeezed and there is temptation to consolidate spend. Tracking ad spend and understanding investment trends is getting increasingly difficult. In the latest From the Bureau column in B&T I outline some of the risks of benchmarking or trying to understand market share on a limited data set. With increasing investment from in-house media teams, independent agencies as well as changing marketing budgets to include retail media, affiliate marketing, influencers and more it is vital for analysts, journalists and commercial leaders to ensure that they are looking at the whole market. In this week's Ad Tech Matter's member briefing, our Tech Lead Jonas Jaanimagi provides information on Apple's new measurement framework designed to enhance ad attribution capabilities in iOS (from iOS 17.4 onwards) whilst still maintaining strict privacy standards. It is Apple's latest version of a framework for measuring ad-driven app installs and user actions, based upon on the foundations and core principles of SKAdNetwork. It is now less than two weeks till our Leadership Summit, each member organisation is allocated one free ticket and can purchase extra tickets. Senior marketers and agency leads can apply for free attendance. Thanks to Google, IAS, Index Exchange, Microsoft, Shirofune and Yahoo for investing in this new industry event. The Chair of the Retail Media Council and GM for Retail Media at Cashrewards, Lachlan Brahe, penned a piece for Unmade on transparency and the needs of the market for the evolving retail media market. A big warm welcome to the newest IAB Australia members; Mentor Marketing, Moloco and Prophet. We look forward to having you involved in our activities. More resources and job opportunities below. 'Til next week Gai |
