Dear IAB Community,
It was great to see so many industry folks up in Brisbane yesterday at our annual market update, with 175 people from brands, agencies, publishers, ad tech companies as well as academics getting a rundown on the latest market trends. A photo gallery and follow up materials will be released next week.
Our colleagues at IAB Tech Lab have been on fire with new standards this year and this week they released ADMaP (Attribution Data Matching Protocol) for public comment. ADMaP enables advertisers and publishers to securely share and measure conversion data without revealing user-specific details. The protocol leverages Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) to ensure privacy and data security. Both our Data and Ad Effectiveness Councils will be reviewing this new protocol which will help advertisers' ability to measure campaigns accurately and publishers monetise their inventory effectively.
We are thrilled that the CEO of IAB Tech Lab, Tony Katsur, will be making the trip to Australia to join us for the upcoming IAB Australia Leadership Summit. A range of new speakers have been announced this week including the Privacy Commissioner Carly Kind, ACMA's Sam Yorke, Zitcha's Troy Townsend and Mutinex's Henry Innis. All member organisations receive a free ticket to this event and selected invites were sent out over the last two weeks from me, so check your inboxes. Senior marketers and agencies can express interest to attend and there are now limited tickets for sale for this event for non-members or for extra member tickets.
Our Director of Policy and Reg Affairs, Sarah Waladan, has penned a quick member update on a range of topics under review by Government including privacy reform, unfair trading practices and potential risks of AI. Members can get in contact with Sarah if they would like to discuss in more detail.
The latest A Seat at the Table article takes a different approach for this special issue in honour of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day (October 15th). Instead of our typical interview format, we are sharing the anonymous personal story of an individual from The Women in Programmatic Network community on her experience with the early stages of carrying a pregnancy and experiencing pregnancy loss while navigating her work commitments.

'Til next week
