IAB Board Update | Attention Toolkit | MeasureUp Speakers | New Mentees | New Members | Jobs

Dear IAB Community,


The IAB Australia board brings together a group of smart and passionate industry leaders who are often fierce competitors in their day jobs but work together on behalf of the industry to find ways to support, educate, connect and improve the digital advertising industry. I am thrilled that the board has elected Vanya Mariani from carsales to be the new IAB board chair stepping up from her role as deputy and will be joined by Andrew Brain from Seven as the new deputy chair. Also, a warm welcome to two new board members - Suzie Cardwell from Nine and Rebecca Costello from Guardian Australia.


The IAB US' Attention Taskforce has developed a series of resources to guide and educate the industry on recent advancements in attention measurement. Each explainer in the series focuses on different methodologies and approaches, such as visual/audio tracking, physiological and neurological observations, data signals, and survey-based methods. These resources will be reviewed by our local Ad Effectiveness Council and nicely complement their Attention Measurement Landscape Report.


It is just over a month until the MeasureUp, the industry's media measurement and ad effectiveness event. Topics at the event include culture's role in marketing effectiveness success, ROI investment guidance, sustainable performance growth, synthetic data, retail media, consumer consideration, modern market measurement and optimising omnichannel reach. Congratulations to the 42 new IAB mentees! We had the largest number of applications to date which made our jobs tricky in selecting the mentees. If you didn't make it this time around there will be another window in 6 months and still lots of opportunities to stay involved with the IAB community.
