Dear IAB Community,
We have just opened applications for the next wave of our mentorship program which connects people in our industry with less than ten years of experience with senior leaders for six months of mentoring. A huge thanks to the 40 mentors who volunteer their time for this important industry initiative that has supported over 350 emerging leaders since inception. The program is open to people who work within member organisations, however for this wave we will keep a few spots aside for people who have recently gone through redundancy.
Budgets and budgeting were major factors in digital media consumption habits in May according to the official Ipsos Iris ratings impacting audiences going to a wide range of news. Audiences to commerce and retail brands continue increase with Apple, Amazon, Woolworths, eBay and Temu taking the top five spots in May.
Generative AI has captured the limelight over the last several years and is revolutionising the digital advertising industry. The US IAB Legal Affairs Council Generative AI Working Group has published its white paper, Legal Issues and Business Considerations When Using Generative AI in Digital Advertising. This new, comprehensive whitepaper addresses the legal and business issues concerning the creation, training, and implementation of generative AI in digital advertising.
With spend on search marketing continuing to increase, the Chair of our Search Working Group, Gary Nissim from Indago Digital has reviewed data from the IAB Online Advertising Expenditure Report to provide an analysis on Australian search ad investment trends.
