CTV Handbook | Video Revenue Trends | Retail Media: Trade vs Media Budgets | A Seat at the Table | Programmatic DOOH e-learning Campaign | Jobs

Dear IAB Community,

Our Video Council, with representatives from 27 companies across the industry, has just released a great new resource for agencies and advertisers with an up to date handbook for the ad supported Connected TV ecosystem. The handbook includes information on audience trends, data & personalisation, measuring effectiveness, campaign planning, creativity and industry standards.

Find out more about making the most of all types of video ad formats at our upcoming Sydney Video Summit. Although audio is the fastest growing reported format, investment increase in video ad formats over the last 5 years has lifted its share of market (excluding search and classified listings) from 46% to 67%.

Our Retail Media Working Group has kicked off a Q&A series to discuss the hot topics and help demystify some of the common market questions. The first in this series looks at trade versus media budget allocations for retail media and how different business objectives and team structures can impact these investments. Thanks to Cashrewards and Uber Advertising for their contributions to this piece.

If you are interested in learning more about retail media, I highly recommend undertaking the Foundations of Retail Media e-learning program. It is free for members and many of the people within the Retail Media Working Group have a handful of free codes.

The latest A Seat at the Table article from The Women in Programmatic Network, Joanna Georges from Scope3 discusses her thoughts on a sustainable future for the advertising industry.

Congratulations to the lucky agency people from Enigma, iProspect, Kinesso, Match and Wood, Merkle, IMG and Ryvalmedia who won giftcards for completing the Foundations of Programmatic DOOH in May. Will you be one of the lucky recipients in the June draw? Check out the details on our DOOH Working Group sponsored education campaign to help more agencies and advertisers to understand the programmatic DOOH market.

More resources and jobs below. Looking forward to catching up with the Melbourne digital advertising community next Wednesday at the Ad Tech & Ops Summit

'Til next week,

Gai
