Dear IAB Community,
Harmonisation, taxonomies and data quality are top of mind for the industry right now, as data structures and machine readability become increasingly important. The 18 organisations in the IAB Audio Council have just published an updated Audio Glossary with agreed definitions for key terms used in the market. The Commerce and Retail Media Council also recently released its latest Commerce and Retail Media Glossary for use across the market.
Many of you will have followed the coverage of Apple’s iOS 27 blocking some ad tech domains in Safari, which means some ad calls never leave the reader’s device. IAB Tech Lab’s free, open-source Trusted Server moves ad requests and auctions onto servers the publisher controls, where those browser blocks don’t apply. Version 1.0 is ready to test. Our explainer covers how it works and where to start.
We are nearly at the end of our state roadshow, with the final event in Adelaide on Friday morning. Check out the photo galleries from Brisbane and Perth. We are finalising dates for 2027 events. Reach out if you would like to review sponsorship opportunities.
I am looking forward to seeing many of you at IAB Australia’s 21st birthday lunch next Friday,
celebrating the evolution of the industry and getting excited about the future.
More resources and industry job opening below.
‘Til next week,
Gai
