Dear IAB Community
We've just released a practical guide to the Global Media Sustainability Framework (GMSF) from Ad Net Zero. This explainer shows digital publishers how to calculate emissions across creation, distribution, and consumption, with clear examples and reduction tactics helping the industry respond to client requests and lead on sustainable digital advertising. If you'd like to learn more, don't miss the MeasureUp session next week: Cutting Emissions to Boost Effectiveness, featuring findings and guidance from WPP Media and Ad Net Zero.
A short briefing note on upcoming changes to privacy and automated decision making (ADM) is now available for IAB Australia members. The first tranche of amendments to the Privacy Act, passed in 2024, introduced a transparency obligation for ADM that comes into effect from December 2026. Note that not all ADM decisions will be affected, the briefing note provides guidance on what's in scope.
