Digital at 48.6% of total market in CY16 | Data Best Practice Handbook | Sports Seminar

Dear IAB Community,

If you follow us on LinkedIn you would have seen yesterday that, according to the annual CEASA Report, Digital made up 48.6% of the entire paid advertising market in Australia in CY 2016, a 6.1% increase on CY15. Mobile and Video, as components of Digital, made up 20% of the entire market. For more info on these figures, download our latest infographic and read the press release

We also recently released our Digital Data Best Practice Handbook. Produced by the IAB Technology Council, it provides a broad and actionable summary of how to best handle the myriad data of modern business and what to investigate when considering technology partners.

We are holding our inaugural IAB Sports in Digital Media Seminar on Tuesday, May 16. This morning Seminar will focus on changes in how audiences watch sports and what media companies are doing to adapt. Featured speakers include: Shane Mattiske, MD AUS/NZ Nielsen Sport; Clive Dickens, Chief Digital Officer, Seven West Media; and Sam Brennan, Director of Sales - Sport, Nine Entertainment Co. IAB Members receive two free tickets and discounts for additional tickets.

Finally, just a reminder for our members that you have exclusive access to the US IAB Tech Lab ad blocking detection script, enabling you the opportunity to see and engage with visitors to their sites who have ad blockers turned on.

COUNCIL MEMBER OF THE MONTH

Cat Prestipino loves the technology aspects of marketing (when we spoke to her in our podcast a couple months back she told us how she taught herself to code when she was a blogger). Aside from her role as AdRoll's JPAC Marketing Director, she is a driving force on IAB's Technology Council. We are glad she isn't on the red carpet accepting awards.
