| | | | Device Trends Report | Podcasting | IVT Benchmarks Dear IAB Community, This month we have announced our new mission to "Simplify and Inspire". Digital has grown but it's become more complex. We need to make it easier if we are to grow. Hopefully you have seen the launch of our mission, strategy, plans and team. Simplify and Inspire was our theme at Programmatic Summit 2017, and it was warmly welcomed by the industry. As IAB Chair Nicole Sheffield said in closing the event: "There's nothing smart about someone not understanding what you're saying..." In that vein, we are now podcasting, and have recently produced an excellent series of six short Programmatic Podcasts as part of our "Simplify and Inspire Podcast", interviewing some of the key industry players, discovering their surprising personal journeys into the field, breaking down exactly what programmatic is and what success looks like. Also, be sure to check out our three-part show from our Digital Audio Event, featuring the brightest minds in digital audio talking about the state of digital audio in Australia. We recently have released the latest Device Ownership and Trends report. This report is exclusive to IAB Australia Members, and part of the continual tracking of macro digital device ownership and usage trends to ensure that our measurement systems are built to reflect the Australian population. And stay tuned for the for the latest Online Advertising Expenditure Report from IAB/PwC in the coming week, which reveals that the CY16 ad spend was $7.4 billion. Part of the IAB's new focus is to champion robust data on key topics like Viewability, Invalid Traffic (IVT) and Ad Blocking. Last week we announced the first Australian IVT benchmark metrics, working with Integral Ad Science, comScore, Moat and PwC. We all have a part to play in delivering more Simplification and Inspiration. Please play your part: It helps us grow trust. The Simplify and Inspire Movement.
